Lego Robotic Arm

Lego Robotic Arm

This is a model prosthetic arm made entirely of Lego.
-hand movements and wrist abduction/adduction are Lego pneumatics
-wrist pronation/supination, wrist flexion/extension, and elbow flexion/extension are Lego motors (Power Functions)
The main purpose of this project was to accurately mimic the full range of motion of a normal human arm and hand. The secondary goal was to maximize speed and power, yet maintain a consistent ratio between the two for demonstration purposes.
It is important to note that it was designed as an above elbow prosthesis, and the yellow shoulder is only meant to act as a static model. The amount of weight it can lift is limited to the shape of the object and orientation of the wrist and elbow, but it can't do much with more than a couple pounds.
The controller is a rudimentary cluster of switches and joysticks. A 4-motor air compressor with pressure-regulation was made of Lego, but for the demonstration I simply used hand pumps. Enjoy!

Asimo vs HPR-4 vs NAO!

Robots have been one of the most fantasized electronic gadgets from a long long time. Now it's time to unveil the top 3 humanoid robots in the world today.

1: Honda ASIMO
Astronaut look alike Robot ASIMO by Honda probably is the most famous Humanoid robot till now.It is the first ever robot to walk, move and even climb stairs like humans.ASIMO is 4 Ft 3 inch tall and weighs 53 kilograms. One could call it the foundation for the future generation of robotics. It took over 15 years of extensive research to get it in this shape.

No. 2: Kawada HRP-4
A slim, fast and more advanced robot by the Japanese.

No. 3: Aldebaran
Nao One of the cutest and most intelligent robots, the Aldebaran Nao can behave on its own and can always be programmed to do more.

LEGO NXT Robot for the snow

LEGO NXT Robot for the snow

Presenting you another snow crawler prototype LEGO NXT Mindstorms robot... Because I wanted 4 track drive and decide to link 2 NXT's together via bluetooth. I also tried using the Dexter Industries new 4watts Solar Panel to feed into the rechargeable battery of on of the NXT but with the low sunshine that day this was pretty useless. It made however this Snowstorms explorer robot pretty cool looking.

LEGO® Megaminxer

LEGO® Megaminxer
The Megaminx puzzle is a dodecahedron with 12 faces, each with 5 edges, that can be rotated in a similar way to the well-known Rubik's Cube puzzle.

Megaminxer is possibly the first robot in the world to solve a Megaminx puzzle. The robot itself is built entirely out of LEGO including a Mindstorms NXT kit with the addition of an HTC Desire smartphone running a custom Android app. The app uses the phone's camera to capture images of each face of the Megaminx which it then processes to determine the colors of the scrambled puzzle.
After working out the solution, the app transmits the moves to the NXT controller via bluetooth to instruct it to solve the Magaminx. The mechanism used by Megaminxer has been adapted from my "MultiCuber" robot designs that can be seen in other videos solving cube shaped Rubik's Cube style puzzles from 2x2x2 up to 7x7x7.
The most interesting parts of the mechanical design were creating pentagonal shaped rings and modifying the tilting mechanism to cope with the obtuse angles between edges and faces using LEGO bricks that more naturally form shapes with right angles.

For the current and future academic education, the field of integrated information systems and some of the most popular topics for students, especially with the focus on integration. The Zwickau University reported in training in ERP / SAP very well received by the students. Particularly the acceptance in the economics courses is significant.
It is supported by the integrated training on a continuous example involving the customizing, personnel, accounting, controlling, logistics, and Business Information Warehouse for students to understand the theoretical concepts. This course is supported by the newly established Laboratory for Information Logistics. This device is the visualization of the case study using LEGO.
The communication between SAP and the individual robots made from an information system via a standard API, RFID will be returned; however used to the physical movements of the materials. In the background is the link via AII and XI. The lab was funded by the BSEC and the club mentor eV.

Lego NXT Mega Stair Climber

Lego NXT Mega Stair Climber

If you are small, stairs are a formidable challenge. If you are big, stairs are a minor inconvenience. Nothing but a ramp with bumps. This is Version 1. Not steerable, since there is a single drive axle to keep the tracks synchronized, prevent oscillations, and thus keep the track from tearing apart. Perhaps some day we'll find time for a steerable version with dynamic tension on the tracks. The shape was inspired by a World War I tank.
