Arduino Avoider

Arduino Based Object Avoider

The video shows an mobile rover controlled by an Arduino.

The video shows an mobile rover controlled by an Arduino. It detects obstacles in front of it by using an Ultrasonic sensor. Upon finding an obstacle, it looks left - right and turns in the direction of the farthest path. It does not stop turning until it sees a clear 15cm path in front of it. In case an obstacle is too close to its left or right, it backs up and turns away from the obstacle. The rover's wheels are attached to a Tamiya twin gearbox. The motor's are controlled with a L293 chip, and powered by 4 AA batteries. All the elements are attached to a plexiglass platform and turned ON by a DPDT switch.
